International Teachers Day
▪️ World Teacher's Day is celebrated all over the world on 5 October.
▪️The theme of World Teachers Day 2023 is 'Teachers are needed to give us the education we want: The global imperative to address the teacher shortage'.
▪️This day is celebrated with the aim of improving the status of teachers in the world.
▪️ This decision was taken in the meeting held in the year 1966 between UNESCO and the International Labor Organization. World Teachers Day is a special day not only for teachers but also for students. On this day, teachers and retired teachers are honored for their special contributions.
▪️ World Teachers Day is being celebrated since 1994. World Teachers' Day is organized in partnership with the International Labor Organization (ILO), UNICEF and Education International (EI).
▪️ Every year the World Teachers' Day program is organized together by UNICEF, UNDP, International Labor Organization and UNESCO.
▪️ China celebrates Teacher's Day on September 10, Russia on October 5, United States on the first Tuesday of May, Thailand on January 16, Iran on May 2, Turkey on November 24, Malaysia on May 16 and Singapore on September 1.
